I am a Mathematics and Physics tutor focussing on the IGCSE syllabus and I have a strong interest in computers and computing. I will be matriculating into NUS in August, majoring in Computer Engineering. As a tutor, I am relatively new but I have always had a passion for helping my peers and juniors out with school and encouraging them to do better in whatever they do. I believe that the best form of learning occurs when students are inspired and motivated to do what they have to do to succeed. Helping students achieve their goals and encouraging them to keep the standards or doing even better is what I will focus on as a tutor. Once a student takes charge of their own learning and has that fire in them to do even better, that is when I know I have succeeded as a tutor. Learning to learn is what I will instill in your child if you choose to engage me.

Having taught in schools since 2011, I have experience teaching across all secondary levels. I believe in building rapport with students, using what they are interested in as materials to practise English speaking and writing skills. Tailoring the material to suit the student’s needs is also important in a one-to-one lesson context – and rather than relying on assessment books, I use a mix of my own materials, and school papers to ensure students get ample scaffolded practices and exam practices. 

Hello! I am currently studying in NTU, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. I have little to minimal tutoring experience. Despite that, I taught my peers in school the last time when I was studying during secondary school and their grades went from D7 to B3 at least. I also achieved decent grades for secondary school academics.

I have been a private tutor for about 15 years in Singapore.
I am quite familiar with the MOE syllabus and exam requirements in Singapore. I am a very patient and enthusiastic teacher of Chinese teaching. I can teach grade K1-S4 Chinese courses and higher Chinese courses.
My students are from different countries and regions. In addition to local Chinese students in Singapore, some students are from the Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, and India. Because their Chinese scores are weak and they have no language environment, they need tutors to provide them with more help and guidance.
I have helped many students get A STAR (excellent scores of total mark 4 and 5 points) in the PSLE examination, and successfully entered Raffles Girls’ High School and Nanyang Girls’ High School.
From my perspective, I feel different students and parents have different requirements for grades and other aspects of help. I usually understand the needs of students first, then use different teaching styles to guide them more. I also hope I can help students who need Chinese tuition, help them improve better, and achieve good results to successfully enter their ideal school.
