I love exploring new things and travelling. Being exposed to the world helps me develop critical thinking about world events and form my own personal opinions about it. Actively listening to others helps me to understand different viewpoints and be more receptive to different views.
I started tutoring since JC when my school formed a peer tutoring programme. Since then, I have also involved myself in tutoring programmes hosted by non profit organisations such as Morningstar childcare and Touch community. Tutoring gives me a sense of accomplishment when I am able to help my tutees grasp challenging concepts and when they do perform well in their exams

Ni3 hao3 (你好 Hello)! I am Yaoyao (尧尧)from Harbin (northeast 东北), China. Being a native Mandarin speaker, I embarked on my teaching journey in 2015, so far I have achieved over 8 years’ teaching experiences with students in conversational, business Mandarin as well as HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) levels. Most of my students are working adults, and some are young teenagers and kids who are less than 10 years old. I conduct both private and group teaching and the largest group training I had is around 10 pax. I also have 5-star hotel staff training experiences in Singapore. In 2016, I obtained my Master degree for a 3-year research program in Sociology division from Nanyang Technological University and my Bachelor degree is in Law from Hunan Normal University in China back in 2012. My teaching style is to provide my students with the most customizable and adjustable textbook contents and teaching pace in compatible with their own learning curve and speed. I enjoy exchanging traditional and contemporary Chinese culture with my students’ cultures. My main goal is to make my students capable of conversing fluently in Mandarin with their Chinese families, friends and counterparts in daily life and business settings during socialization and trips to China. Learning a new language is like getting a new key to open a new door, behind which there is a new world awaiting. Give yourself the key and let a world of 1.4 billion people embrace you!
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Chinese / Mandarin easy to learn?
How easy a language is to learn is based on an individual-to-individual case. Generally speaking, Mandarin Chinese is relatively easy to catch in terms of its prononciations and grammars (even if Mandarin’s 4 different tones requires a bit of practice); As for reading and writing, most of my students find it rather challenging to master the Chinese characters, to put it in a nutshell.
How much time does it take to learn Chinese / Mandarin in Singapore?
Again, how much time it takes to master a language is also a case-by-case situation. In general, being one of the most difficult langagues in the world, Mandarin Chinese would require at least 200 hours’ learning for beginners if they want to learn the basic knowledge of this language. However, some may use less time than that while others need more. It depends. But an international survey shows that it takes over 2000 hours of learning and practice to achieve the master level of Mandarin.

I am currently a University undergraduate studying Communications and New Media in NUS. I have an interest in photography and videography, and a bit of graphic design. Having attended so many tuition lessons and going for tuition centres, I discovered that having a good tutor really makes a difference in a student’s academic performance and their motivation. I hope to become such a tuition teacher that is dedicated to doing the best for her students.

Experienced Primary School Teacher who taught in local and international schools. Specialised in Primary School English and Mathematics.

I am currently a Year 2 Business Administration student studying in the National University of Singapore (NUS). In terms of tutoring experience, I have only done volunteer tutoring with primary school students at a student care centre, teaching mathematics 1-to-1 with the students there. However, I have not had any private tutoring experience and hence have no proper track record, but I am confident in my ways of approaching the syllabus and helping students understand their concepts.

FAQ
Hmm……
The likely reason is that your criteria is too restrictive. Most tutors do not teach more than 3 subjects at any level. Another factor might be your subject/s of interest has a tutor group predominantly of a particular gender. Insisting on another gender would restrict your available choices.

Online Tuition is only recommended for students in Primary 4 and above. Home Tuition caters to students of any age.
We would recommended Home Tuition for weaker students who need the benefits of face to face instruction. Online Tuition works best for independent students who exhibit fair to good subject proficiency.
You can talk to us & we can decide the best course of action according to your student’s learning profile.
Uploading a Profile Image is at the sole discretion of the tutor. Some may rather not show the personal image for public viewing.
In any case, the tutors’ appearance has no bearing on their ability to teach.
This is THE magical question. So whats the answer?
Yes you can. We will connect the selected tutor via Zoom or Google Meet
However, before we proceed, we need to firm up the following details.
- Fee
- Tuition Schedule
You can start as early as the next day or maybe even sooner. This all depends on tutor availability.
It is best to know your student’s learning profile & make arrangements early. One does not wake up one moring & decide their child is weak in Math. The signs will be evident months before tuition is even considered.
We urge all parents to be aware of their child’s difficulties & take action promptly.
Short answer, NO! Good results are an indication of subject proficiency. All students do not start from the same level so it might take longer for some rather than others.
We would insist on at least 3 months of tuition to see any improvement for an average student. Weaker student will most probably take longer.
Please do not wait till 1 month before major exams to book a tutor. It will help clear some concepts & doubts. There is definitely no time to lay foundation.
Tutors with higher qualification & more years of experience will normally cost more. This is just the market force of demand & supply. It is best to decide on your budget & we can help you get the best tutor for that budget.
Send us your tuition requirements & we can start to work something out as soon as possible
