I am one who has been passionate about math as a subject as well as teaching as a vocation. Through years of education and working experience, I have developed various skills in aspects such as pedagogy, articulation/communication, classroom management, team-work, and school-based event management. Having been entrusted with O-Level graduating classes year after year during my 5-year teaching stint, I am experienced with the O-Level E/A Maths Syllabus and the expectations/criteria necessary to perform well at O-Levels. My philosophy in teaching has always been to teach for understanding.

Upon my resignation from MOE to pursue my Masters in theology at Singapore Bible College in 2018, I have remained active in the teaching scene by taking on tuition assignments. Under my tutelage, my students have made vast improvements to achieve Distinction at O-Levels.

 

I have been tutoring at the age of 20 after my National Service, tutoring ‘O’ level Chemistry students which sparked my interest in teaching. I then joined MOE as an educator in 2012, has been teaching ever since primarily ‘A’ Level and IB Chemistry. On my free time, I usually travel abroad for relaxation and is a fanatic football fan.

My hobby is reading. During my free time I read and spend time with my nephew and nieces.

As a full time graduate teacher with Second class Honours degree from National University of Singapore, I specialise in teaching Mathematics for students from various international syllabi such as IB, AP and HSC. I am a dedicated and passionate individual who is committed to providing a positive and enriching learning experience for my students. Previous students have obtained A grades in their final examinations. I have taught students from various international schools such as Australian International School, Saint Francis methodist school, Overseas Family School, Canadian International School, Anglo-Chinese Independent, Saint Joseph’s Institution, Singapore American School to name just a few.

I also have experience teaching university students in advance math modules that are calculus or analytical based and students have achieved significant results improvement within a short semester duration.

I possess a strong understanding of subject matter and am able to effectively communicate complex concepts in an engaging and understandable manner. I have obtained A grades in Advance Maths and calculus based Mathematics modules in University.

In addition to in-depth knowledge and teaching skills, I am also patient, caring, and supportive of my students. I create a safe and inclusive classroom environment and am able to adapt my teaching style to meet the diverse needs and learning needs of my students. I am also willing to go above and beyond to inspire and motivate my students to reach their full potential and achieve their academic and personal goals.

As a student who once struggled in math, I am able to relate to students who are currently poor in math, from primary school uptill lower secondary, I have been failing math all the way. That is when I met a passionate tutor who did not gave up on me like my school teachers did, he made me realise that math is so much more than just simply numbers. the following year mid year exams I managed to score 97/100 as compared to the previous year of 27/100. I have went through JC H2 math as well as Polytechnic math modules scoring As and distinction. all I need is a chance to be the passionate tutor like my tutor did, I cannot guarantee an A like what other tutors do because I simply cannot promise you something I have yet started in, but I assure you I will do my very best to deliver you the results. NA NT or E, there is no difference in ones capabilities. My O level grade for E math was B3, but all along i was one of the top 3 across the cohort, can fact check with me. My Polytechnic math modules of which A math nature are all A, with one being distinction. I have previously tutored O level students for Emath with the prior grades being C and thereafter at least a B3 for O level results. I am able to provide materials for E math, for some of the topics. As for chinese, i am unable to do so but i firmly believe that the school’s resources are enough for your child to get an A with my help. You can give me a try for a day, and if that 1.5 hour seems like a waste of time, you can always hire someone else to do it. My passion lies in Mathematics, from primary school till lower secondary, i have never passed Mathematics, but i met a teacher of passion, and pulled my grades to top 2 in chort within a year. Your child can achieve it too

I am a Nanyang Technological University Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. I have 3 years of prior experience in tutoring students from Primary school to Junior College. I was from the Gifted Education Programme (GEP) in Rosyth Primary school and the Integrated Programme (IP) in Raffles Institution so I have experience in both and have taught students from these programmes.

I am a tutor for Pre-School & Primary students. I am young & so I can relate to young children. This is in contrast to the “auntie” tutors..ugh..gross. So hire me & you child will improve in a very short time!

I am a good tutor. My students all excel under my supervision. My O Level students normally show a 2 or 3 jump in grades after about 3 months of tutoring. I ensure that the students understand the subject material before I hand out practises
