More than 95% of my students score A/A*  after having at least  6 months tuition with me. Experienced in conducting 1-1 lessons in small group. I have more than 4 years of experience in teaching upper sec and JC chemistry. I had tutored more than 20 students , all of them showed at least 2 grade improvement before and after the lessons. Past students are coming from singapore chinese girls school, fairfield, serangoon garden, riverside, mayflower sec, whitley, Anglican high school, christchurch, etc.

teaching method:

1) Provide own notes in summary slide for easy revision with highlights on important concept to remember

2) provide important tips to answer exam paper and correct keywords to use for structured paper

3) MCQ/structured question taken from past year O level exam paper to gauge learning outcome at the end of each chapter slide

4) revision lesson with practice after few chapters to better visualize the linkage across chapters

5) continuous assessment after few lessons to track student improvement

6) adapt to student learning pace, can slow down if needed or can do quick revision for particular chapter if exam is around the corner

7) interactive class; student can ask any chemistry question throughout the classes, even if it is beyond O level

I’m Deepa a University grad from University of London, with a degree in Business and Management. During my free time, I work out and I’ve been an educator for 7 years teaching Primary and secondary school Math and English

I have a great passion for teaching. I am currently a student care teacher in Edgefield Primary School and am very familiar with the current MOE curriculum. Have guided and assisted many students on their homework and assessments and knows how to catch the attention of various characters

I’m a social worker by profession. I enjoy working with children and elderly. I love cooking and engaging in art activities.

I enjoy listening to and playing music, whether it is just for fun with friends or trying to explore and learn more about chord progressions and harmonising notes. I have recently taken an interest in choral music and aspire to join a choir.

I also enjoy taking short strolls, either to clear my mind or contemplate on my own thoughts.

From my experience with past students, I believe it is crucial to adopt a patient and nurturing mindset in order for them to learn and grow. While it is important to challenge their thinking as well, it should be done in accordance with the student’s given pace and attitude; one must gauge where and when a student is ready to be to discover his or her potential.

I taught a GCE ‘N’ Level student who was struggling to pass English, and helped him to attain a pass and entry into his desired course in the Institute of Technical Education. I taught him E Mathematics as well and helped him improve to a B3 grade.

I am a friendly, outgoing tutor and am also teaching at a tuition center. I believe that students need encouragement and confidence, especially in the subjects that they are weaker in. This would change their perspective on the subjects and would be more motivated to approach it. I would generally take the first 1 or 2 lessons to gauge my students, finding their weaknesses and their learning styles. This would then allow me to better solidify their foundations in the subject to be able to approach questions with higher difficulty.
