I’ve been teaching lessons at primary and secondary school level for the past 3 years. I specialise in teaching math and science at primary level and E & A Math at secondary level

A write-up on my teaching experience and teaching methods:
I am a part-time Math and Science tutor with one full year of teaching experience. Last year, I was engaged by The Salvation Army to tutor Math and Science to five Primary School students – one Primary 4, two Primary 5, and one Primary 6. I taught them for a year, and I am very heartened and proud to witness all five of them improve from being failing/borderline students to today, scoring 60-70%. Apart from tuition, I also played the role as a mentor, guiding them in their moral and character-building. I played sports like Captain’s Ball and Basketball with them and also did arts & crafts like drawing and making photo frames.
Having taught many upper Primary students for both their school and national examinations, I have the experience and am extremely confident that I am able to help students improve their results and gear them up for their examinations.

Favourite subject is Math. I think different individuals have different way of learning so there should not only be one way of teaching.

I am a Year 2 NUS Undergrad, an extrovert majoring in Business Administration, who has a knack for encouraging and helping others to excel. Scored 254 for PSLE, enrolled in an IP stream at River Valley High School, and finished my A levels in 2021 with a total of 5 distinctions. Attained A for H2 Geog, Econs, Math and etc. I have 1 year + of experience part-time tutoring students privately, in subjects such as Primary Math, Chinese, and Secondary Math & Humanities subjects. I specialise in an Individually-focused teaching approach. Being a patient tutor, I will identify critical areas where the student needs major improvements, and provide step-by-step guidance.

Passionate about Accounting and Mathematics.
Currently an accountancy undergraduate in Singapore Management University.
Able to work with all kinds of students
Experienced with students who have disabilities.
Tuition should be an environment where they can freely express their concerns about learning and Tutors should be there to guide them

I teach Singapore, Cambridge, Common Core, IB, EP, etc different curriculums

Science academic tutor , loves to read science at my free time

I am passionate about helping people improve their command of the English language so they can gain better results in their studies and work opportunities. Having studied full-time in Melbourne, Australia for my Bachelor’s degree, I appreciate the creative and critical thinking skills I’ve picked up and would love to share those skills as well.

Hi! I’m Mrs. Raja, a retired MOE teacher. I am well-versed in the MOE syllabus due to my 50 years of experience teaching English, Math, and Science from Primary One to Primary Four. At the Primary One and Two levels, I enjoy teaching both reading and creative writing.

Hi, I am Elizabeth! I golf and paint in my freetime. I have been mentoring/ tutoring peers since secondary school and have been enjoying doing so ever since. I believe every student is able to excel in what they do as long as they enjoy the learning process. Hence, classes held will be interactive as I wish to learn about why my students think what they think and what they are interested in.

Hey, I’m Rahul. I’m currently a year 4 law student at NUS. I’ve spent the first half of this year in Sweden doing my student exchange and now I’m back in town! I’ve been tutoring or helping out others academically in one form or another since JC, particularly with History. My most recent tutoring job was for a year or so before I left for exchange, and was a one-to-one format with a Secondary 3 student for History and Social Studies. Hobbies of mine include backpacking, reading and writing!
FAQ
Hmm……
The likely reason is that your criteria is too restrictive. Most tutors do not teach more than 3 subjects at any level. Another factor might be your subject/s of interest has a tutor group predominantly of a particular gender. Insisting on another gender would restrict your available choices.

Home Tuition involves the tutor travelling to the student location. In some instances, this location could be remote from public transportation. In this case, Online Tuition would be a better fit as they is no travel required.

Yes; this is the main pitfall of choice, you have to make one. If you find you have 3 or more tutors that fit all your criteria, it is not done yet. These tutors still need to have the availability to take the student at some prescribed schedule.

Online Tuition is only recommended for students in Primary 4 and above. Home Tuition caters to students of any age.
We would recommended Home Tuition for weaker students who need the benefits of face to face instruction. Online Tuition works best for independent students who exhibit fair to good subject proficiency.
You can talk to us & we can decide the best course of action according to your student’s learning profile.
Uploading a Profile Image is at the sole discretion of the tutor. Some may rather not show the personal image for public viewing.
In any case, the tutors’ appearance has no bearing on their ability to teach.
This is THE magical question. So whats the answer?
Yes you can. We will connect the selected tutor via Zoom or Google Meet
However, before we proceed, we need to firm up the following details.
- Fee
- Tuition Schedule
You can start as early as the next day or maybe even sooner. This all depends on tutor availability.
It is best to know your student’s learning profile & make arrangements early. One does not wake up one moring & decide their child is weak in Math. The signs will be evident months before tuition is even considered.
We urge all parents to be aware of their child’s difficulties & take action promptly.
Short answer, NO! Good results are an indication of subject proficiency. All students do not start from the same level so it might take longer for some rather than others.
We would insist on at least 3 months of tuition to see any improvement for an average student. Weaker student will most probably take longer.
Please do not wait till 1 month before major exams to book a tutor. It will help clear some concepts & doubts. There is definitely no time to lay foundation.
Tutors with higher qualification & more years of experience will normally cost more. This is just the market force of demand & supply. It is best to decide on your budget & we can help you get the best tutor for that budget.
Send us your tuition requirements & we can start to work something out as soon as possible
